Vincent P. O’Brien Guerrero, MD, MBA

Primary Care Provider

Dr. O’Brien or “Dr. OG” is a board-certified Family Physician.  He practices adult medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, and LGBTQIA+ health.  Growing up in Sacramento, he learned about social justice throughout a decade of Catholic school.  This sparked a calling to improve health for everyone.  Dr. O’Brien graduated with highest honors from St. Mary’s College of California, where he met his future spouse, an El Dorado County native.  He went on to complete a dual-degree track at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, called the Program in Medical Education for the Latino Community (PRIME-LC).  This track prepares doctors for leadership roles improving social justice in health.  PRIME-LC requires fluency in Spanish and a relevant master’s degree.  Dr. O’Brien chose an MBA because he believes that greater investment in education, nutrition, and urban planning can prevent many of today’s health problems.  Medical school peers recognized his compassionate bedside manner by electing him to the Gold Humanism Honor Society.  Dr. O’Brien completed his training at Sutter Health Family Medicine Residency in Sacramento.  He is excited to serve the community at EDCHC, and looks forward to supporting you in achieving your health goals!
