Ashley Witherspoon, DNP, FNP-C began her career in health care as a licensed practical nurse. After attaining her associates degree in nursing, she cared for patients at the bedside as a registered nurse while working towards her bachelor’s degree at College of Our Lady of the Elms located in Chicopee, Massachusetts. This is also where she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has years of experience working with diverse, underserved populations across the lifespan that struggle with adversity and access to care. It was through these experiences that she found a desire to pursue a career in primary care and preventative medicine to help decrease health disparities in disadvantaged communities and she is excited to be working within the El Dorado County community. Her hobbies include downhill skiing, paddleboarding, mountain biking, and hiking with her dog.
